The space
This lower ground floor space was designed and built to accommodate a live-in aupair and therefore offers the privacy and security of self-contained flat within a family home.
The double bedroom has lots of storage including built-in wardrobes, under-bed storage and shelving. The bedroom is at the back of the house so is especially quiet with very little, if any, audible street noise.
The flat is fully furnished with a flat-screen TV built into the wall.
The living/kitchen area has its own hideaway mini kitchenette with oven, two-ring hob, fridge, sink, microwave, and extractor fan all hidden behind cherrywood doors.
There is also a shower room with toilet, basin, and shower.
Please note there is no washing machine however Bow Wash Launderette on St Stephen’s Road is a two-minute walk.
The space has good light thanks to tall bay windows at the front and a large sash window in the bedroom, both looking onto large light-painted light wells.

Guest access
To access this space you must enter through a shared front door and hallway. A private staircase leads from the ground-floor hallway to the space that is entirely dedicated to you. There is a door you can lock so that the bedroom and main living/kitchen area can be made secure.

ON ARRIVAL
Please knock as the doorbell is not connected any more. Keys can be left in the keysafe upon request. The code is 1348.
MACERATOR PUMP
The lower ground floor space uses a macerator pump for its waste water (eg kitchen sink, shower, toilet and basin). The pump can only process natural waste and toilet paper. Foreign objects such as tampons, condoms, excess hair from the shower, and bulky or hard objects (olive stones etc) will break the pump immediately so please dispose of these in the waste bins provided. It normally takes 24-48 hours to get someone out to fix the macerator and during that period none of the water facilities can be used.
WHAT’S PROVIDED
Bedlinen, bathroom towels and dishcloths are all provided.
Toilet paper is supplied, but if you are staying longterm (more than a few weeks), it is your responsibility to restock toilet paper as needed. Previous lodgers have left washing up liquid, cooking oil and salt. As a courtesy to others, please replenish washing up liquid, cooking oil and salt as necessary.
GUESTS
You may have friends to stay up to two nights a week at no extra cost. If you intend for a second guest to stay for more than two nights a week, there is a small nightly charge for the second guest. Please arrange directly with the host.
